How much would a collection of vintage comic books (about 400 issues) that are in fair condition be worth?

Mostly Archie, Donald Duck, Bugs Bunny & Casper type comics. Not many of Superhero genre. Dating from late 50's through late 60's. Stored in a hot, dry attic and a lot are flaking on the edges. Owner wants $250 for all. Is this a good deal? What would be a reasonable price?
